SUSS x Matchaya | UWellness Festival

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of participating in the UWellness Festival, hosted by the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in honor of World Mental Health Day.

The UWellness Festival featured a range of activities, from wellness challenges like the vertical marathon to workshops that inspired attendees to prioritize their physical and mental health.

Throughout the bazaar, the focus was on encouraging everyone to take charge of their own well-being in a fun and supportive environment.

We brought along our Artisanal Tea Box to the bazaar since the theme was centered around wellness.

The crowd was fascinated by the numerous benefits of tea and the various brewing methods, both hot and cold, that could be used.

We enjoyed sharing how the same tea could yield different tasting profiles depending on the brewing water temperature, showcasing the versatility of our teas.

Along with the other various activities around the campus, we also spotted a Mobile Massage corner where both students and staff get to enjoy professional massage services!

The idea of having a good massage before going for classes definitely got us excited.

In addition to the various activities at the bazaar, we also get to spend our second half of the day hosting a Matcha Workshop with 50 participants.

This workshop provided participants with an in-depth introduction to the art and science of Matcha preparation, exploring its rich cultural heritage and numerous health benefits.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the different grades of Matcha, the traditional ceremonies associated with its consumption, and the meticulous process of whisking the perfect cup.

Besides, it was a perfect opportunity for us to connect with attendees and highlight the benefits of matcha as part of a healthy lifestyle too.

During the session, we also explored the factors that distinguish premium matcha from lower grades, and how different grades produces different amount of antioxidants.

At the end of the session, each participant got their chance to whisk up their perfect matcha under the guidance of our tea masters, turning the workshop into a hands-on, frothy fun fest.

We believe that employee well-being is essential for the future of work, and SUSS's commitment to holistic health through initiatives like the UWellness Festival is truly commendable.

Kudos to the team at SUSS for organising such an event and planned activities that brought the team closer, and reinforced everyone's dedication to staying active.

Do something today that your future self will thank you for!
