ASHTA District 8 | #2 Grand Opening

We are happy to announce that we have opened our 2nd Progressive Tea Bar in Jakarta, Indonesia!

Set in the fringe of SCBD, ASHTA District 8 offers a dynamic, trendy environment that perfectly caters to both the young, fashionable crowd and busy office-goers.

Spanning a sleek 440 sqft rectangular space at ASHTA, the space is designed with a modern, minimalist aesthetic, taking inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture.

It features warm tones and a terrain-inspired ceiling that creates an inviting atmosphere- perfect for a chilled out tea break or a creative working session.

With a nod to its trendy, hip surroundings, the outlet blends seamlessly with the cool, artsy vibes of the neighbourhood, making it a hotspot for those seeking something new and exciting.

As we were getting ready for the opening, we noticed a cone-shaped object in a box, positioned right in front of the progressive tea bar.

Our Indonesian friends share with us that that's Tumpeng, a traditional dish cone-shape rice with a deep cultural meaning.

It is a tradition for most Indonesians to have tumpeng during special occasions as it represents a sense of community, shared culture, and festive spirit. Because of its festive and celebration value, up until now tumpeng sometimes seen as an Indonesian counterpart of birthday cake.

ASHTA is a hotspot to a variety of coffee spots, and with Matchaya just opening its doors, shoppers now have even more options to get their caffeine fixed.

A big thank you to all who worked hard behind the scenes to make this opening successful!
