LIXIL Inax x Matchaya

LIXIL, the global giant behind renowned brands like GROHE and Inax, recently unveiled its latest venture, 'The LIXIL Experience Center', in Joo Chiat.

This state-of-the-art design hub not only redefines luxury in bathroom design but also served as a vibrant venue for an exclusive collaboration with Matchaya.

During the grand opening, we were invited to bring a touch of Japanese culture to the LIXIL Experience Center at one of their INAX showrooms.

The brand's rich history, which dates back over a century, includes producing decorative tiles for the iconic Imperial Hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.Their products demonstrate a deep respect for Japanese tradition, culture, and nature, as evident in their delicately colored and textured tiles that enhance both domestic and international markets.

Cold Brewed Tea

The guests were also treated to traditional Japanese refreshments such as Kinako Warabi Mochi, Matcha Lattes, and Cold-Brewed Teas— Lavender Yuzu Houjicha and Sakura Spring.

Kinako Warabi Mochi

Freshly-made and melty warabi mochi made from warabiko (bracken starch) and covered with kinako powder (soy bean powder)

A highlight of the event was the experiential workshop conducted by our tea master. Guests had the unique opportunity to interact with the tea master and learn how to make their own matcha lattes, gaining insights into the origin of tea and the precision involved in whisking their own matcha.

We look forward to future collaborations where we can continue to share our heritage and love for Japanese tea culture with a broader community.
