Matcha Straight Tea Recipe | Ceremonial Grade Matcha

 This easy matcha tea only requires two ingredients – matcha powder and water.

TEAWARES

  • Chawan (bowl)
  • Chasen (bamboo whisk)
  • Chasen holder (whisk holder)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 g of Okumidori powder
  • 200 - 250 ml of warm water (70 - 80°C preferred) 
  • Sugar (optional)
  • Ice (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Sieve 2 g of Okumidori powder.

2. Add 70 - 80 ml of warm water (70 - 80°C preferred) 

3. Whisk thoroughly to prevent any lumps, followed by a 'zig-zag' motion to start foaming the mixture.

4. Transfer matcha into a cup and fill it with the remaining warm water. 

You can serve it with ice or sugar, making it perfect for an everyday drink!
